ATSI Gives Back

At ATSI we pride ourselves on being a part of the community and building the relationships that make us strong. As part of our commitment to giving back, we participate in various programs to help make a difference.

Lakeshore Central School Career Day

Karen A. Armstrong, Director of Geomatics Technology at ATSI, spoke at the Lakeshore High School Career Day in Angola, NY, promoting and encouraging engineering education among the high school students.

St. Peter Middle School Science Fair

Judging at St. Peter's School Science FairATSI employees served as volunteer judges at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Middle School Science Fair in Lewiston, NY. Students were encouraged to pick a topic of interest related to science, conduct research, develop a hypothesis, demonstrate the experiment and provide a conclusion. The fair consisted of about 75 individual student exhibits from grades 4-7.

AIST Midwest Chapter High School Engineering Seminar

AIST Midwest Chapter Local High School SeminarATSI employees participated in the High School Student Engineering Seminar at Calumet Conference Center, Purdue University in Hammond, IN. 15 local high schools took part in this educational seminar to learn more about engineering education, profession and career opportunities available after college.  ATSI employees volunteered their time to talk with students and answer questions about the engineering field.

National Engineer’s Week Future City Competition

National Engineer's Week Future CityATSI employees served as volunteer judges at the Western New York Regional Future City Competition at Mount St. Mary’s High School in Tonawanda, NY. The mission of the National Engineers Week Future City Competition is to provide a fun and exciting educational engineering program for seventh- and eighth-grade students that combine a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to present their vision of a city of the future.

Karen A. Armstrong, Director of Geomatics Technology at ATSI, continued to serve as the Western New York Regional Coordinator for this event encouraging local students and educators to participate in this annual competition.

ATSI also continued to be a financial sponsor of this local event to help support engineering education among students.
